Twitter has always been a platform for free expression and open communication, but recent changes to its API have left many third-party app developers feeling shut out.
A company that values its users would be open to third party clients in order to learn what features are important to those users. Musk has shown he doesn't care about user experience. He'll be rewarded with fewer users.
If Twitter had any real concerns about spam or privacy, they would have announced the policy change in advance, or started a dialogue with the developers. I don't even understand what third-party apps have to do with spam.
Instead they retroactively changed the developer rules, days after they disabled access.

There are no 3rd party apps for Instagram or Facebook????
